Reactoonz

Reactoonz is a slot game developed by Swedish studio Play'n GO, released in 2017. The game breaks with almost every convention in slot design: no traditional paylines, no spinning reels, and no scatter symbols in the classic sense. Instead it uses a 7×7 grid and a cluster system where you win by landing groups of matching symbols — a minimum of five connected symbols triggers a payout.

The game's aesthetic is immediately recognisable: colourful, large-eyed monsters called Quantumites fill the grid. These creatures are not merely decoration — they are the soul of the game. Reactoonz has become a reference point in the slot industry and is consistently ranked among the most-played games in Europe.

Reactoonz uses a Cluster Pays system. When you land five or more matching symbols connected to each other (horizontally or vertically), a win is triggered. After a win, the winning symbols disappear and new ones fall from the top — this is called the Cascading Reels or Tumble mechanic. The process repeats until there are no more winning clusters.

The game has two types of symbols: regular Quantumites (8 variants) and Giantumites — large 2×2 symbols that count as four regular symbols. Giantumites are especially valuable because they make it easier to form large clusters.
